4-16-2014: We’ll meet at the Garfield track at 6:30pm as usual. Looking forward to another great workout with you all! The workout this week will be 16 x 400m with 200m “easy run” rest. Come help us send Uli off to Boston! We hope to see you there; all levels of fitness are welcome!


Results for the 2014 Bridle Trails race are now available! The weather was “back to normal” after last year’s dry conditions and this year’s participants were greeted with ample mud! Thanks to everyone for participating and volunteering and being patient with us as we waited for the winds to calm down.

Wednesday night at Garfield High School (directions)is our new group run/workout for 2014! Meet at 6:30pm for weekly speed workouts, led by Trisha and Uli Steidl. All ages and speeds welcome! A parking lot on 25th Ave often has open spots at this time of day, otherwise there is usually ample street parking next to the track.

Please note that this is being organized for SRC members. If you know of someone who might want to become an SRC member, including yourself, you are welcome to come try out a workout once before doing so.

2013 Cougar Mountain Trail Run Series is Complete!

It’s been another great summer on the beautiful Cougar Mtn trails, with another great collection of dollars being raised to support King County Parks!

The super-long finale was Sunday, October 27th. We want to thank everybody who participated for doing so, and we hope you pencil us in for one, some, or better yet all of our upcoming 2014 races!

Short + Long Series winners are official! Congratulations to William Hizey & Katie Bates (short series) and Jonathan Symmes & Mary Frasier (long series). Being our first year with the different-length series, you four have set the bar for future comers.



Thanks to everyone who participated in the 3rd Annual Fat Glass 50k, hosted by the esteemed Peter Kline and family, and sponsored by our friends at Mac & Jack’s Brewery! Eric Sach notched his 3rd victory in three tries, finishing the definitely-a-bit-more-than-31-miles course in 5:25, and Sarah Mertel was the women’s winner in 10:28 (also her first ever ultramarathon!). Most everyone else sat in the Kline garage, confused, asking how to get their plates of food to stop spinning. Full results!

SRC Brooks Competitive Team

Updates from the 2013 SRC Brooks Competitive Team. They have been volunteering for SRC and competing at numerous events all year long. Check out a few of their accomplishments and involvement as ambassadors for running, Seattle Running Club, and for Brooks.

We’re happy to finally offer a quick and convenient way to receive your membership cards. Current and recently expired members can easily download and print cards from this very site by clicking the number next to their name on our Club Roster page.

If you are a not-so-recently expired member, please email and we’ll send you your number so you can renew! Pre-printed card-stock membership cards are on order and will be available in both partner stores soon. You can switch out your paper copies if you prefer that type of card.
