Group Runs

SRC Group Runs

SRC members can often be found at the following regular group runs

MONDAYS: 6:00PM group runs (5 miles, all speeds welcome) from Flying Lion Brewing in Columbia City (see our Meetup Page for details).
TUESDAYS: 6:00PM group runs from Fleet Feet and The Balanced Athlete (see store websites or our Meetup Page for details).
WEDNESDAYS: 6:00PM women’s group runs from The Balanced Athlete (see store website for details)
WEDNESDAYS: Lake Union Lunch Run. Meet at the SLU Bubble Statue on the south side of Lake Union at 12PM. Typical runs go 45-90 minutes. See our Meetup Page for details.
WEDNESDAYS: 6:30PM Track workouts at the Garfield High School track (or rotating locations including many at Genesee Park during XC season), led by Trisha & Uli Steidl. Specifically for standing club members, though interested parties can try out the workout.
THURSDAYS: 5:30AM Hill repeats at Squak Mountain State Park (Discover Pass needed to park in the parking lot). The workout varies from week to week. See the Meetup Page for details on each week’s workout.
THURSDAYS: 6:00PM group runs from Fleet Feet and The Balanced Athlete (see store websites or our Meetup Page for details).
SUNDAYS: 8:00AM group runs on a variety of different local trails + occasional destination group runs on nearby trails (refer to our club Meetup page for announcements regarding dates of future runs and specific destinations.) When Sunday runs occur at Cougar Mountain, we will now (as of December 2015) start from the Sky Country Trailhead (same as the summer Cougar Mountain Series races).
SUNDAYS: 8:00AM group runs from The Balanced Athlete (see store website for details).


Seattle Running Club Meetup Group

link to the SRC meetup pageWe recently created a MeetUp.com group to coordinate communication among Sunday run participants, as well as other regular and special runs and club events. We hope that this will help people stay updated on the location of each run, find carpooling partners, etc. Let us know what you think! Questions and comments about this and other Sunday run issues may be sent to trip leader Win Van Pelt.

Some past runs:
This year, Seattle Running Club Sunday runs have included some of the following destinations, besides the usual venues of Cougar, Squak, and Tiger mountains:

  • Mount Rainier – Camp Muir
  • White River 50 miler training runs on the first and second halves of the course
  • Rachel & Rampart Lakes
  • Icicle Creek to Chatter Creek loop

Club member Jim Norton has created a great map of the usual Cougar Mountain loop and some of its variations. Feel free to print out this PDF file and bring it to the mountain!
